Little Blessings

In situations as harsh as the highest mountains,

 it’s the little things,

 like wildflowers, butterflies and bird songs 

that brightens a person’s day. 

When Dad had Alzheimer’s, 

he forgot it wasn’t manly 

to say, “I love you,” 

or bring roses from the garden.
