Only Old Once

Though seventy-seven, she

felt an amateur at life.

Always diligent to do good,
experiment and learn,
she nurtured her curiosity.

The more she did, learned

and experimented,
the more she knew
she didn’t know.

 So, now heading for octogenarian,

she satisfied herself with
reading Dr. Seuss.
