Summer Rain Play

Skipping along

in summer rain.

Soaking it up.

Tilting our heads back,

opening our mouths,

letting drops tickle our tongues

until it brings giggles.

Dancing around

in the summer rain.

Whirling about

with arms outstretched.

Laughing together.

Letting rivers pour

down our faces.

Stomping and splashing

in wide puddles

after the rain.

Taking deep breaths

of air washed clean.

Letting soggy grasses

squiggle between bare toes.
