As
Day Dawns
A
quiet morning, I should be at peace.
Something
threatens like termites in the walls.
The flow of to-dos never seem to cease.
Today’s
tasks bounce around like super balls.
Contemplation
whispers, but duty calls.
I
rein in this onslaught so I can pray,
And
commit my concerns to God today.
I
ask Him to be sure that His will is done,
That
His Holy Spirit would fill and sway,
And
that I’d take joy in His precious Son.
