The
Outdoor World
(Quatern)
The
outdoor world—it beckons me
With
windy whispers to my ear.
The
branches wave invitingly
With
color change throughout the year.
The
sunshine warms upon my face.
The
outdoor world—it beckons me,
Adventure
in another place,
To
hiking trails and feeling free.
The
robins call and they agree,
The
air’s much better in the wild.
The
outdoor world—it beckons me,
Reminding
me of when a child.
But
here I sit within my home,
Inside
responsibility
And
longing for the time to roam.
The
outdoor world—it beckons me
