We Prayed for Rain
(Villonnet)
We prayed for rain and now I sit inside.
In the Southwest,
it’s a sin to complain.
And though I
planned to mow and weed today,
He chooses all
the ways that He provides.
As rain falls
steadily, I write and hide.
I’ll thank God
for the moisture that we need.
And praise Him
for His tender love and care.
We prayed for
rain and now I sit inside.
For all He’s given
me for which I cried,
I thank Him for
His generosity.
Sometimes His
answers rearrange my plans.
He chooses all
the ways that He provides.
We prayed for
rain and now I sit inside.
And soon enough,
I’ll go outside to work.
He chooses all
the ways that He provides.
