The Boy Next
Door
He had a weird light-bulb
shaped head.
We were play mates since
I was four.
We rode our trikes
on wooded paths.
That silly, goofy
boy next door.
We girls avoided
him like plague.
With almost nothing
to adore.
Oh, what a pest he
had become!
That silly, goofy
boy next door.
A teenager, funny
and smart
Cute and tall at six
foot four.
I though he might
not be so bad.
That silly, goofy
boy next door.
I bet a kiss on
game of HORSE.
Of course, I had
the lowest score.
He’s not the only
fool that day,
That silly, goofy
boy next door.
