Relaxing After Work
Nine-thirty and I’m
getting tired.
The Nature Center wears me
out.
The children all seemed to
be wired.
They find it so hard not
to shout.
We took a hike to start
the day
And painted birds--paper mache.
They played in forts in
the scrub oak.
I’m glad to be home, that’s
no joke.
