A Bear at the Nature Center

My bestie saw a bear today,

Not far from where the children play.

It worries me more than a bit,

But not so much to have a fit.

The nature center’s where we learn.

Tween hikes and crafts we take a turn,

And in oak forts they like to play.

My bestie saw a bear today.

They run about without a care,

And they don’t think about a bear.

But teachers do and often pray,

Not far from where the children play.

I count on God to keep us safe,

To tell those bears to go away.

We can’t just go inside and sit.

It worries me more than a bit.

I pray to God and stay alert,

And do my job so none get hurt.

I do fear bears, I must admit,

But not so much to have a fit.
