Our Adventures
A tiger leapt from the bushes.
It snarled at Jimmy and me.
We could hear it growling,
as we brothers tried to flee.
Okay it was a pussy cat
meowing at Jimmy and me.
We could hear it purring
as it cuddled contentedly.
We carefully crossed the planks
where the river raged below.
The gangsters were chasing us.
We didn’t know where to go.
Okay, we walked across a little bridge
that covered a small stream.
Some soccer players jogged on by
as they worked out for their team.
We approached big iron gates
of the palace of the queen.
The trumpet sound rumbled
and announced some fine cuisine.
Okay, Mom waited in the kitchen.
The rumble was my belly.
She had called us in for lunch
for a peanut butter and jelly.
