The Fairy Pools
The Fairy Pools of the Isle of Skye,
Meringue-like mountains frame them there.
It’s easy to imagine fairies flitting about.
Several streams pour down from up high,
Down into the rocky, deep blue pool.
Too icy to swim, but adventurers try.
The magic is there, everyone can tell.
I think of being there, with a sigh.
Stretched out on the boulders, taking it in.
It’s easy to imagine fairies flitting about.
When time to go, they whisper goodbye.
