Ancestral
Land
The waves rush on the Scottish shore,
While bagpipes wail their distant song.
With ancestors, we sing along.
We’re tourists here but feel much more.
A part of us came from their lore.
Their blood flows deep within our veins,
From fishermen to those who reigned.
The cobblestones once bore their feet.
Someday in Heaven we may meet.
Till then we’ll search for what remains.
