Puzzled
I almost gave up
on the castle puzzle
I bought in Ireland.
The pieces were too close
in shape and size
and they fit sometimes
when they weren’t meant to.
But this year,
I have been using jig-saw puzzles
as inspiration to put my life
back together after experiencing
significant losses.
So with determination
I stuck with it.
It wasn’t easy, but nearly done.
With the same resolve,
I’m not giving up on my life
though at times
it seems as scattered
as the 1,000 piece
castle jig-saw puzzle.
