 If I had Time to Write

 

“If I had time to write,”

I’ve heard so many say.

But with me, I think,

writing’s here to stay.

 

If I had time to write

is like, If I had time to breathe

If I had to sleep at night

Or time to brush my teeth.

 

If I had time to take a bath

If I had time to eat

If I had time to get dressed

If I had time to watch TV.

 

Writers write.

That’s what they do.
