Holy Esteem
Do you know that feeling
of unworthiness,
inadequacy, failure?
The Holy Spirit is the opposite.
He does not nag, nitpick, needle.
He doesn’t lambast your soul,
knock down your self esteem,
judge or condemn you.
He builds up, comforts and
corrects when necessary,
but in a gentle, loving way.
Come Holy Spirit,
drive out the inner critic
and help me see myself
as God sees me.
