Ten Little Fairies
Ten little fairies went out to play.
Doodles, Noodles Snickerdoodle
Twinkle, Winkle, Sprinkle
Lily, Tilly, Milly and Spark
They loved to flit about like a lark.
What should they do on this what-to-do day?
They tired of flitting about flowers and beans.
“I know,” said Noodles,
“Let’s play Sardines.”
Noodles was It
And hid under a pine.
The fairies to search
Amounted to nine.
Doodles, and Winkle
Looked down by the gate.
Milly found Noodles
And then there were eight.
Lily and Tilly
Looked up in heaven.
Twinkle saw Milly
And then there were seven.
Snickerdoodle
Searched under some sticks.
Winkle found Twinkle
And then there were six.
Sprinkle looked down
From where big people dive.
From there she spied Winkle
And then there were five.
Doodles and Spark
Explored a drawer.
Lily found Sprinkle
And then there were four.
Snickerdoodle
Hitched a ride with a bee.
Bumbled upon Lily
And then there were three.
Doodles and Spark
Climbed into a shoe.
Tiilly saw Snickerdoodle
And then there were two.
Doodles found Tilly
And then there was one.
Spark wandered about
And was having no fun.
But then, poor Noodles
Started to weep.
For all this time
He was under a heap.
Of eight little fairies
Beneath the pine.
They all joined Spark,
Then ten fairies were fine
