The Abundance of Questions
My three-year-old great-niece
asks,
“What makes the lights
turn on?”
“Why is the sky blue?”
“Where is the airplane
going?”
“Why does the car make
noise?”
“What is that lady doing?”
“Can I wear my new shirt?”
“Why is your hair messy?”
“Why is peanut butter
sticky?”
“Do I have to brush my
teeth?”
“Where does rain come from?”
But when you ask her
something,
she says, “You tell me.”
