My Friend Died
My friend died,
she lives here no more
She has passed
through that golden door
COVID has
struck another down
Precious
memories do abound
Her death has
pierced me to the core
I think of days
that came before
With some so
dear that I adore
She was
somewhat of a fun clown
My friend died
The pandemic
has made us poor
Its vile
effects I do abhor
Didn’t think it
would stick around
And put so many
in the ground
I wonder what
it has in store
My friend died
