 Jesus, if You’re Real

 

Jesus if You’re real…

How many prayers have started that way?

God, were you so frustrated by being invisible

to Your creation that You manifested Yourself

in bodily form? Jesus

And 2,000 years later, we still question,

“Are you real? Should we believe in You?”

But believing is not just a suggestion.

 

Believing in You

is mandatory.

Whoever believes, as it says in John 3:16,

will not perish

 but have everlasting life.

But believing is hard

when other ideas seem more appealing,

So quickly, the gospel we discard.

 

Jesus, You proved Yourself

in so many ways.

You miraculously healed.

You miraculously delivered.

You miraculously provided.

You miraculously prophesied

And spoke with authority

And to miraculously save, You died.

 

And You came back to life.

You proved who You said You were.

“I and my Father are One.”

“I am the way the truth and the life.”

“No one comes to the Father except through me.”

“I am the door.” “I am the light.”

We can try to come up with another way.

But why?
