Morning Prayer

 Changing Focus

 

In the stillness of the morning

Thoughts whirl about

Some confused, regretful,

Fearful, disappointed, abrasive.

So I turn to You, Lord.

Come in and bring your peace

Give me clarity

Gratefulness

Boldness

Positivity

And kindness.

 

I love You and am called to Your purpose.

Thank You for working everything out

for my good.

 

In the stillness of the morning,

I look to You,

not my own shortcomings,

but to You who are loving, forgiving,

powerful, pure and holy.

Lord, help me think and be more like Jesus.
