Party
poopers in Paris.
We had
worn ourselves out
sloshing
around in the rain
at
Monet’s beautiful gardens
and Louis
the 14th’s
extravagance
of Versailles.
If I had
a choice to live amongst
the gold
décor and huge oil paintings
or the
colorful flower gardens of Monet,
I’d
choose the latter.
We
rested, venturing out only once
to buy
baguettes and eclairs.
Sis stuck
her baguet in my tote bag.
Awkward!
Walking down the street
with that
sticking out a foot.
Fortunately,
I wasn’t attacked
by a
flock of pigeons.
The
lights went out at the grocery store.
We found
our way to the check out.
Came out
the other side, a little disoriented,
but we
found our way home.
