No matter how well-planned

the trip or tour,

a bit of chaos always ensues.

 

No hot water in the morning.

The mouse adventure.

Water fixed. Pest control called.

 

Both directionally challenged,

Sis and I got off the bus.

Where do we catch the shuttle?

 

Fight cold breezes

while cameras click at Stonehenge.

Where do we meet the bus?

 

Tour Bath Abbey and Roman baths.

Souvenir shopping. Salad for lunch.

Disgusting Burrata cheese.

 

White, globby texture. Looks like a big

poached egg, of what? Sis refuses

to eat it. I mix it in like a dressing.

 

Then, where was that fudge shop?

Will we find the bathrooms in time?

Where do we meet the bus?

 

Always a bit of chaos,

even in a well-planned tour,

like cold wind on an otherwise sunny day.
