 Moonlit Poem

The yellow moon, a soft night light

It calms my mind as I look out

I know regardless of my plight

God watches over me, no doubt

Though death is waiting for each soul

Beyond the moon, my hope, my goal

It calms my mind as I look out

The busyness of day is past

I have a lot to think about

The worries of my world won’t last

The moon reminds me Who to trust

The One who made the moon, I must

I know regardless of my plight

He’ll work all things out for my good

He is my rock and my delight

I pray to please Him as I should

Though darkness hinders my life’s way,

Like shadows from the moon, won’t stay

God watches over me, no doubt

As a good father guards his child

He guides me to a better route

Like moonlight brightens up the wild

He walks with me along the road

And helps me carry my life’s load

Though death is waiting for each soul

My hope is strong, my way is clear

God is the One who makes me whole

To me He is the One most dear

The moon shines brightly from above

Just like my awesome Father’s love

Beyond the moon, my hope and goal

Eternity awaits for me

Someday I’ll take that wondrous stroll

Across the lovely crystal sea

The moon reminds me of that time

And so I end this moonlit rhyme
