St Patrick’s Day Party
One sister and I worked
like fools
Got ready for all to descend
We filled sunroom with
green shamrocks
To-do list seemed to have no
end
We managed to eat and
shower
And take a few breaks in between
And as time passed the
food was made
Were ready and the house
was clean
We met our niece’s new husband
He was an Irish guy and
nice
We laughed about our silly
ways
The “Irish” food, it will
suffice.
The sisters, cousins and their
kids
Had a blast with one
another
And pictures galore were
taken
We spoke of father and
mother
Shenanigan Squad read our
shirts
But youngest sister missed
the fun
She’ll fly in through Nebraska
snow
Tomorrow we might have some
sun
So hurrah for St. Patrick’s
day
And Irish man who came our
way
