Genesis 3 stanzas of abaCab

Genesis 3 stanzas of abaCab

Why Do They Persecute You?

Jesus, I hear You weep
when evil inflicts so much pain.
I know they hurt You deep,
And yet deeper, deeper down.
Deep in the last sleep.
Your heart feels the strain.

I am safe for now.
I’m bound, yet free, in my vow.
Safe and secure for a time.
Feeling like a clown.
Or caught in a crime.
How much will You allow?

They’ve wounded Your heart.
Mine burns aflame.
Your love is pure art.
Anger is not in Your frown.
I pray for a new start.
I rest and trust in Your Name.

The Florette, 8,8,8,12 a,a,b,a Fourth line requirement: internal (b) rhyme on syllable 8.

Priorities

Up in the wee AM again
It would be nice to sleep till ten
But maybe I can get things done
And have some time for bit of fun, get tired and then

I’ll sleep away the day today
And wish I took the time to pray
I should spend time with God first thing
Allowing freedom to take wing, live life His way

Whip Cream

Whip cream is hubby’s standard
It is a must-have
All else is secondary
He likes it on bread
And just by itself
Lite, fluffy
Good!

Duo Rhyme aabbbbbbaa

The Key

Humanity looks for a key.
But thinks the answer’s lost at sea.
The unknown haunts, the questions slay.
And we so often go astray.
Yes, all we want to do is play.
Loss will incite our hearts to pray.
With God we do an odd ballet.
And offer prayers like a bouquet.
The loving God will hear our plea.
We’ll find the key on bended knee.

Snow paints the world white and gray
Ice grips the land in its teeth
Frozen air squeezes chest tight
I nestle indoors
