Poeming is a fun pastime
Do it anywhere
Beauty shows in imagery
Also love and care
Some may think it frivolous
Not worth all your time
Counting syllables is dumb
And forget to rhyme
Poets, to some, may appear
Weird, off beat, or strange
Likely to have no effect
Bringing little change
Time and time over the years
Poets prove them wrong
Poetry has blessed mankind
Written word or song
Give yourself permission to
Write a line or two
Who knows that some day your poem
May see someone through
