It’s easy, Lord, to go astray.

My mind will wander off the path.

I know Your way is the best way.

I don’t want to deserve Your wrath.

My thoughts require a cleansing bath,

To disinfect spiritual sores.

I fall short when I do the math.

Align my heart and mind with Yours.

 

The devil steals, destroys and kills,

Accuses Your daughters and sons.

Your Spirit gives, builds up and heals,

Encourages Your faithful ones.

When we’re near You, the devil runs.

You stand against the bully’s scores,

And You outweigh him by the tons.

You, Lord, desire the best for me.

You lead me where I hope and thrive.

When You control, I am set free.

In You I’m healed, fully alive.

In You, I need not strain and strive.

Please, guide me to Your open doors,

Until in Heaven I arrive.
