size Poetic Bloomings, choka

 Little Bits

small puzzle pieces

form a beautiful picture

microscopic cells

make a universe

little bits and little bits

form a grand design

seconds to minutes

minutes to hours to days

days to weeks to months

months add up to years

years multiply to decades

moments shape a life

Chastushka

Jesus died on cross of timber

Naked, bleeding, beaten, bullied

Satan thought he was the winner

But his name was soundly sullied

A Bear at the Nature Center

My bestie saw a bear today,

Not far from where the children play.

It worries me more than a bit,

But not so much to have a fit.

The nature center’s where we learn.

Tween hikes and crafts we take a turn,

And in oak forts they like to play.

My bestie saw a bear today.

They run about without a care,

And they don’t think about a bear.

But teachers do and often pray,

Not far from where the children play.

I count on God to keep us safe,

To tell those bears to go away.

We can’t just go inside and sit.

It worries me more than a bit.

I pray to God and stay alert,

And do my job so none get hurt.

I do fear bears, I must admit,

But not so much to have a fit.

Byron's Sonnet

 In Him We Live

In the name of the Holy, we live,

And we move and have being, praise Him!

He is worthy, though days may be grim.

And because He forgives we forgive.

So we offer ourselves, and we give

Him our all for He gave us His all.

Yes, on Jesus our Hope, we will call.

His amazing grace we won’t outlive.

And so what does that mean in our day?

In the practical, common routines?

In the matters we think do and say,

From the dawn to the dusk and betweens?

Yes, we walk with our Friend and we pray,

And have faith and entrust all our dreams.

Autumn Poetic Asides Bussokusekika

 Fall Fun

Crunching through crisp leaves

Painted hills hug the valley

Fragrant earthy smells

Raking leaves in to a pile

Kids running and jumping in

Laughing. Let’s do it again!

Burns Stanza

 Good Morning, Lord

Good morning, Lord, I love You so.

You love me, too, that’s good to know.

I worship You, set me aglow.

Draw near throughout the day.

Right here at home and as I go,

For fellowship with You, I pray.
