BTP Science Poem

Tsunami

T en-year-old Tilly Smith and her family, in 2004,
S urvived a Tsunami in Thailand along with several
U nsuspecting vacationers because Tilly
N oticed a drawback exposing sand with a sucking sound
A nd knew from her school geography class that a Tsunami
M ay be coming. She warned her family,
I nstructing them to flee to higher ground.

I was just watching the news about the tsunami
in Japan and this really struck a chord.
