Getting in Practice for July's River of Stones

Misty Morning in Maine

The rocks lay on the shore
like petrified turtles.
The bay stretched out
like rippled steel.
The hills on the horizon
appeared pale
in the mist like shadowy
twisted crepe paper
before a party.
The puffy clouds hovered low
over the scene like a blessing.

Good one, Connie... I'm excited about July's aros, too.

(FYI- It's much easier for people to comment if you change your settings for comments to pop-up window).

I like it! If this is you getting warmed up, I can't wait to see your stones in July.
