Hello autumn, my favorite season!
Your coolness, your color,
I do adore.
Your earthy scents, there’s
many a reason.
I can lengthen the list by
so much more.
You invigorate me, there
is no doubt.
Your temperature, not too cold
or hot.
You make me feel alive when
I go out.
You set my motivation to a
trot.
And wanderlust turns up a
notch or two.
Yes, road trips call, as
well as trains and planes.
No matter the place, your
beauty stays true.
Through sunshine and even
in pouring rains.
But fall, you’ll sadly betray
us and go,
And leave us to winter’s
dastardly snow.
