undiscovered Poetic Asides

Hiking at the Nature Center

Tramping

Through the forest

The canyon

The pinecones

The rocks

The logs

The mud

The snow

with seven children in tow

pulling sleds with their

newly built birdhouses

to put up in the pines,

we felt we were in undiscovered territory,

knowing that a fifteen minute walk

would take us to the fence line.

After doing that twice,

now I feel, what seems like,

previously undiscovered muscles.
