Cause and Effect
Shawna breathed heavily
as her legs pumped the pedals.
She turned the corner too fast.
Shawna found herself flung
atop a chain-link fence.
She’d never make it to Amy’s in time.
As she righted herself and her bike,
she thought how little things
can cause a giant downward spiral.
But they can also cause an upward one.
Hopefully this little crash would lead to
Amy’s good, rather than her detriment.
