Fred the Cat
Fred conned his way into our hearts.
A big fluffy gray cat that as he’d pass,
he’d rub against us with a very-well
pronounced MEOW!
This cat had wit, quirks and smarts
and he walked with lots of class.
At getting his own way, he did excel.
We loved him. And how!
Playing my teddy bear was his part.
And he’d hop in the tub and take a bath.
Once got in ointment, had a bad smell.
Oh, I miss him now!
