Two Cuties
We worked on Linda’s stories
And painted a scripture card
I had an eagle on mine
Shaping it was hard
I eventually gave up
It’s just a smear upon the page
But we had fun anyway
Hadn’t painted in an age
We walked, played Scrabble
And got ready to go
Picked up Dave, then Tecumseh
Our time wasn’t going slow
We met Corey, Allie
And their friend Jess
And my great nephew and niece
I’m smitten, I confess
I had sandwiches and paninis
At the sandwich shop, Grain Bin
After eating a lot
I wasn’t feeling thin
We took the kids with us
Back to Adams for the night
They played and ran around
The house was quite a sight
I got sleepy an hour early
My body on Ohio time
Next stop, back to Lincoln
So concludes this rhyme
