In-laws and a Christian brother
I got up at Judy’s in Lincoln
My plan became clear
I have little chance to see my inlaws
From year to year
So I said I’m coming
And I drove all day long
They seemed to be okay with it
And didn’t think me wrong
After finding the right hospital
I saw Leanoard coming out
And then I visited Ineke
We had a lot to talk about
But she was getting tired
And so I said goodbye
To see Lester and Cathy
I had a couple-hour drive
We ate at a Mexican place
And talked above the noise
Of the family behind us
With rowdy girls and boys
I aimed to get to the west side
But it was hard to see
So I stopped at a hotel
Where one room was left for me
The room with microwave
Fridge and king-sized bed was fine
But I had to go downstairs
And asked to get online
The front desk guy helped me
And asked me to test it out
I put up Bible Gateway
He was a Christian—no doubt
He said he was glad
To see fellow Christians go through
It was a nice connection
We said goodnight on cue.
