Self Loathing
Anger consumed her.
She lashed out at her loved ones.
Unwittingly, they fought back,
unaware of hate
she harbored against herself.
The world darkened for them all.
They tried many things:
drugs, alcohol, religion,
till the youngest met Jesus.
Jesus is the light.
Her beacon revealed the hate.
Till you love yourself, you can’t
reach out to others.
