Met tour group at the hotel.

Bussed to the edge of Normandy,

Monet’s house and grounds.

 

Extensive garden, many colors,

obviously planned by an artist.

Colorful umbrellas,

a delightful addition of color. 

 

Rained the whole time.

Discovered my rain coat

was only water resistant,

not water proof.

Even with an umbrella,

I soaked to the skin.

 

Sis and I,

both directionally challenged,

barely made the bus.

 

Lunch out,

beautiful place with water wheel.

Met couples from England and Australia.

 

Versailles gardens.

Extravagance.

Kept an eye on a couple

with red and white coats,

so we wouldn’t get lost.

 

Versailles castle.

Huge rooms

filled with paintings

and gold.

 

In Paris, at restaurant,

ate goat cheese salad.

Two souvenir shops.

Must buy flat souvenirs

to fit in suitcase.
