Mom and Dad
November 5th, 2021
would have been my parents 73rd anniversary.
As it was, they made it to their 50th.
Thank You, Lord,
that Dad survived WWII
and that Mom’s family moved
from Johnstown, PA to New Florence,
where Mom and Dad met and married
and raised my four sisters and me.
Thank You that they encouraged us
to follow our own paths
and though we live in Ohio, Nebraska,
Colorado and California
we still get together.
Thank You that I have plans
to meet two of them in California
in about a week.
Thank You for
Your Holy Spirit
who lives
right inside of me
wherever I go.
I put my trust
in You.
